1. “Look Up”
There's been days where I've allowed my mind to go on a downward spiral, one negative thought leading to another. It wasn’t enough to just think my way out of it, I had to move.
Looking up requires action, both literally and figuratively. There are just enough, if not more reasons to be grateful than to be down. Allowing negative thoughts to stay gives positivity no space.
Thoughts are energy and these thoughts become our reality. Therefore, if we long to experience a positive reality, we got to practice thinking about what we want, rather than what we lack. Look up.

  2. “The Butterfly”
Much like the butterfly, I believe we too undergo our own metamorphosis. We quite literally begin as a sperm fertilizes an egg. Similar to a caterpillar, we soon begin to crawl. As we develop from adolescence into adulthood, we experience many different forms of chrysalis. Often times, it begins with our parents protecting us. As life takes its course, this eventually transitions into self preservation. We learn to protect ourselves from experiencing certain heartbreak again, but at what cost? In time, we may find that our form of protection is holding us back from experiencing true freedom. Like the butterfly, we must be willing to let go of what no longer serves us in order to be free.

  3. Butterfly Placement
Pictured is a line portrait of a person, seemingly a woman, with a butterfly landed gracefully on her nose. This signifies acceptance, acknowledgement, and growth. The woman symbolizes our younger self - who was once unseen, who carried the world on her shoulders, who had a dream. She accepts that in order to grow, she must learn to let go. The butterfly, our evolved version, acknowledges our younger self, & reminds her that she is seen through validating her thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The butterfly, now met face-to-face with who she once was, recognizes that there was always beauty in her … she just needed to see it for herself. This recognition births a newfound appreciation for how far she's come, while also encouraging her to keep on evolving.

4. Inclusivity
It's been said that a woman's hair is her crown, but what about those who can't grow out their hair, or choose not to? The intention behind the logo was for it to be a representation of all who are choosing to evolve. May we always remember to look up, and trust the process.

5. Connection
There's times when life allows us to come face to face with who we used to be. In those times, we are reminded that who we once were never truly left us, but in fact lays dormant inside. Are we going to revert back or discipline ourselves to press on? Regardless of what we choose to do in that moment, it will work for our good: reverting back, is an opportunity to reflect and grow. Commitment to who we're becoming, is evidence of our evolution. PRESS ON.
